ISTEP+ Testing Begins

ISTEP+ testing will take place this week.  Parents can help prepare their children by:

•making sure they have an early bedtime each evening.
•feeding them breakfast each morning.
•helping students arrive on time each school day.

These three things will help your child better concentrate on ISTEP+.

We Invite You To Explore Our Site!

We invite you to continue to peruse these pages to see what opportunities our students have in academic and extra-curricular activities, gather information regarding ISTEP+ and IREAD testing, explore our library links for a variety of information including homework tips, and find valuable school information including school supply lists and dress code and birthday treat policies. You can find information about what to do if schools are on a delayed opening, are dismissed early, or are closed due to inclement weather.  You will also be able to catch a glimpse of how Tekoppel students utilize technology and access links to many internet resources for students, parents, and teachers.  Thank you for visiting Tekoppel School's web site. Please visit us often!

Bringing Learning to Life!

At Tekoppel Elementary School, we are bringing learning to life!  You can help your child get the most from his/her teacher by providing a specific place and time for homework, making sure your child completed his/her classwork and homework neatly and on time, having a set bedtime each evening, reading to your child or with your child for 20 minutes each evening, and signing papers and/or assignment sheets and returning them to school.  Please help your child receive the best education by making sure he/she arrives at school by 7:45 a.m. every day.  School starts promptly at 7:55 a.m.  That means, children should be in their seats and ready to learn AT 7:55 a.m. Help make sure your child is at school every day on time!
