We are now accepting applications for the 2013-2014 school year for high school home school students who need full time enrollment and current high school students who need supplemental courses.  We plan for our next session to begin during the last week of July.  We will schedule enrollment appointments during the summer and schedule an informational meeting in July.

We are also accepting applications for elementary and middle school students who are intersted in home school courses.  Visit the Enrollment Information and Application link for High School or K-8.

We are also proud of our recent honor of a Top Innovator Award.  Our program is recognized throughout the country as an excellent example of how online courses can benefit students at the high school level.  We continue to build our program as a partnership of students, teachers, and parents to help students be successful with this unique opportunity.

We are currently accepting applications for our first semester of our 2013-2014 school year high school courses  and our K-8 courses which will begin in early August, 2013.   Please visit the Enrollment Information and Application section to complete an application.  We will contact students and parents by email to schedule enrollments conferences as we have openings available.

The EVSC Virtual Academy is designed to provide flexibility to students in EVSC to earn credits for credit recovery or credit advancement through the utilization of online learning and the support of a licensed teacher.  Our brochure provides additonal information.  Students have earned 393 credits through coursework in Virtual Academy. 

The EVSC Virtual Academy now also offers Advanced Placement courses in English, Social Studies, Science, and Math.  Our  courses are not aligned with college credit but do allow for the students the option to take the AP exam at the end of the course.  The AP courses are included on the Courses page.

The Virtual Academy allows students to earn credits for recovery or advancement through the utilization of online learning. Since its inception in June 2010, stduents have earned 368 credits.

Courses are taught by EVSC licensed teachers utilizing content from Apex Learning, Inc. which offers a comprehensive digital curriculum that meets high school graduation requirements in math, science, English, social studies, world languages and selected electives. In addition, students and parents receive automated progress reports each week to communicate the progress of the student toward the course completion date.
